Adult

Adult classes consist of five lessons and no evaluation sessions.

The Adult Beginner class teaches essentially the same skills as the regular beginner class for kids, but in a manner suitable for adults.

The Advanced Adult class content is determined by the instructor. It generally consists of an intro to crossovers, edges, and basic turns, while improving basics skills such as one-foot glides, and backward skating.

Advanced

All advanced classes consist of five lessons and no evaluation sessions.

Hockey Power Skating consists of devious drills and exercises mete out by our skating taskmaster, designed to develop power and agility.

Ice Dancing is an intro course and teaches basic moves unique to Ice Dance. Learn basic pattern dances such as Dutch Waltz and Canasta Tango. The course content is determined by the instructor. Session #3 classes are used to prepare a group performance program for our skating show at the end of the season.

Foot Work classes consist of more advanced edges and turns. Now that your 3 turns are pretty solid, it is time to learn new turns such as brackets and choctaws. And it turns out that toe picks aren't only used for jumps. Since the content is determined by the instructor, it is almost always going to be a challenge.

Freestyle classes are all jumps and spins. Students are divided into smaller groups based on skill level. The course content is determined by the instructors. In Session #3, students are invited to participate in a group number for our annual skating show. These classes are dedicated to learning and rehearsing the program developed for the show. No special costumes are required. Participation in the show and preparation is optional. Instead, students may opt for traditional jump and spin classes.
